Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFC) have recently launched a scheme – “Friends of Yorkshire YFC” and are appealing for all ex members, associates and supporters of the Federation to get in touch to find out more.

It is thirty years since the formation of Yorkshire Federation following malgamation of the North and West Ridings. Over the past 30 years Yorkshire Federation has been and remains a very important part of rural communities and has offered thousands of young people a safe, fun environment to develop friendships, learn new skills and take part in a whole host of activities. However all this comes at a cost and the federation are looking at ways of increasing revenue.

Rachel Wilson, County Chairman explained, “we are offering past members and supporters of the movement a chance to put something back into this extremely worthwhile organisation and therefore allow future generations the chance to experience the same benefits and opportunities of those members before them.“

Friends of Yorkshire YFC will receive a generous package of benefits in return for an annual subscription. The benefits include amongst other things free entry to and a cream tea reception at the Yorkshire YFC County Show held in June at Pateley Bridge . Friends will also be kept up to date with the Federations activities by receiving a copy of the twice-yearly News Bulletin and annual handbook. “Friends” will also be entered into a quarterly cash draw. The Friends of Yorkshire package costs £15 per person or £25 per couple.

All money raised through this initiative will fund ongoing training and events for the current membership.
