NORTHERN AREA FIELD DAY

To be held on Saturday 16 June 2007 at Thornton Towers, Newbrough, Nr Hexham - hosted by Northumberland. All the paperwork has been forwarded direct to all competitors. If you are not competing why not go along to support. There is a dance in the evening which will be held on the Field Day Site. Ring 0116 872562 for tickets.

BIGGER AND BETTER!

The fifth County Show has proved to be another successful year and the weather was kind too! It is amazing how far the show has come since 2003. Well done to all those who took part with almost all the Clubs represented. The weekend started off with another successful dance on Friday evening followed by a close battle of Rounders and Junior Tug of War on Saturday and finished on Sunday with a great fight in the Tug of War finals. Thanks must go to the Show and Activities Committees who worked very hard setting up the Show on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well as all their work on Sunday. I am sure you will appreciate they did an excellent job. Volunteers will be greatly accepted for next year’s committee.

STOCKJUDGING TRAINING

The Activities Committee will be running Beef and Butcher Lamb Stockjudging Training in August. Proposed date 8 August. Watch out for more information in next issue.
