Well done and congratulations for another magnificent effort at two Northern Area
events.  Tremendous team spirit at the
Field Day in Northumberland gave Yorkshire the highest overall points with the Earl of Derby trophy returning to Yorkshire soil. The stockjudging competitors were also successful with the Yorkshire C team gaining most points in the stockjudging and therefore Yorkshire retained this trophy for another year. Yorkshire dominated the Tug of War with wins for the men and ladies, (well done Burton men, and South West ladies) and congratulations to Anna Stockil from Winksley cum Grantley for winning the Junior Member of the Year and qualifying to the National finals in October.

The Northern Area Stockman of the Year was held on home ground at Skipton. Whilst domination wasn’t as strong as last year everyone did extremely well with Yorkshire retaining the title for the highest placed team overall. The juniors were placed third and the Seniors first. Congratulations to Jonathan Raw, Lothersdale and Ben Stancliffe, Farnley Estate who were placed first and second in the Senior Stockman of the Year and Sammy Throup, Silsden/Skipton who was third in the Young Stockjudge of the Year. They all qualify to the National finals in September. Full results available from County Office on the Website.
