Swimming 2010

Sunday 31st January and 60 members travelled to Bingley Swimming Pool to take part in the County Swimming Gala.
Heats started a little late this year in true Young Farmer style, but as there were fewer entries there were obviously fewer heats!  However this did not stop the enthusiasm and support for everyone who was taking part – the team spirit was great.
With a couple of swim-offs needed to decide who qualified from the semi-finals to the finals, all the races were swum and it was onto the Presentation - with a lot of new faces in the junior classes being presented with prize cards.
The overall winning club, 3rd place Worth Valley, 2nd place Aire Valley and 1st place Lothersdale, for the 3rd year running!
A huge thank you to Bingley Pool and the staff for yet again allowing us to hold this event there, all the stewards and to all the members who travelled far and wide to be there – it is so nice to see so many enthusiastic members willing to take part in this competition.
