YORKSHIRE AT COMPETITIONS DAY 2006

Several of the 2005/06 National Finals took place at Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth. Members from all corners of the County travelled down to take part in various competitions including Kwik Cricket, Nature Challenge, Floral Art and Public Speaking. Everyone should be congratulated for reaching a National Final whether through Northern Area or direct from County

Well done to Charlotte Middlebrook from Selby who after winning the Northern Area round of the Junior Member of the Year competition was place third in the National finals. (Charlotte aged 15 was beaten by two members aged 17).

Emily Warin from Aire Valley was also successful in the Intermediate Floral Art with a respected third place. Emily is still only a Junior so was competing agains members much older than herself.

Congratulations to all members, who by just being there, has awarded Yorkshire points in the overall team trophy.
